Clothesline installation at The Barnes Foundation, in collaboration with Ani|Malayaworks performance and Neill Catangay
Tela [fabric] - Brandon Aquino Straus has created digital collages out of photographs he took in the Philippines. They were digitally printed on fabric and suspended from pieces of Bamboo. The collages reconstruct memories, examine our material culture, and consider the vocabulary of daily life in the Philippines, while creating tropical dreamscapes from his Filipino American perspective. This project was shown at the Painted Bride Art Center and the Barnes Foundation in collaboration with performances of Ani|Malayaworks [2022]
